Community Advocacy

Nitzutz works at every level of government to make sure the voices of our community are heard - meeting leaders from across the political spectrum to advocate for mental health, community safety, and the well being of all Australians.

What we do

Nitzutz is the Jewish community's direct liaison with government. We work with leaders at every level - federal, state and local - and right across Australia, building the relationships that turn our community's needs into real outcomes.

Our advocacy is bipartisan by principle: we work with whoever can deliver. We sit down with the Prime Minister and the Leader of the Opposition, with the Foreign Minister, senior ministers, and MPs on both sides of politics. In recent months we held a full day of meetings at Parliament House in Canberra, pressing for the safety, mental health and wellbeing of Jewish Australians.

And we don't advocate from a distance. We brought national leaders to Bondi to stand with our community at the site of the attack, and we work every day with government and community partners on the response - so no family faces the aftermath alone.

From Canberra to the states, we're simply in the room - advocating for our community, wherever decisions are made.
